Real Team Building Case Study – Team Transformation
A regional DWAF Department was experiencing internal conflict, low productivity, low trust, increased stress, destructive competition and communications problems between the different people in the department.
They also had concerns surrounding the various tangents of effort, finger pointing, blaming, disrespect and deadlines not being realized.
The Beginning
The Life Masters teambuilding event consisted of 9 individuals for a 2-day event.
After initial personal profiling including Adversity Intelligence, Emotional intelligence, Workplace Scan, Energy Levels, Stress Levels, Team Fitness, Q40 Engagement a teambuilding process was designed to address the specific challenges.
During the initial pre-team building profiling, it became clearly apparent that more issues existed than the management team was aware of.
The department head chose a REAL teambuilding process as opposed to some kind of group-entertainment event, as the way to have his people transform how they work together for the common good of the entire team.

The teambuilding process was designed to enable participants to focus on resolving the core issues that blocked team building and team productivity – namely personal static, inter personal judgments, limiting beliefs, conflicting values and other blockages that prevented the individuals from actively participating on the team and performing at higher, more optimized and sustainable levels.
During the team building Process participants discovered that each of them had similar needs, wishes, challenges and visions for a high performance life and their team. The pre-teambuilding profiling uncovered the real challenges that prevented the team from performing at a higher level.
Detailed, and honest, feedback enabled the team build members to realize the challenges, issues and opportunities that existed within the teambuilding process. Action items surrounding core challenges were uncovered and addressed with ease.
After the Teambuilding event, and the personal static was neutralized, members were able to better understood different individual styles, talents and passions and began to realign job tasks to better optimise the talents and energy of the team.
Unique Team Building Process
Because of Life Masters unique team building process, individuals and their supervisors / Managers, built a new, never before achieved, level of trust, open communication, caring, tolerance and understanding.
The team-building moved the participants from a mental reference frame of fear to a mental frame of Love, enjoyment and passion, increased their understanding of each other, jointly they envisioned a common goal, and fostered a culture of respect, tolerance and responsibility.
Strong levels of appreciation, care, communication and trust were achieved between the participants because of the specialized approach Life Masters offers in a uniquely potent and transformational team building environment.
During this team building workshop detailed information was presented to participants about the larger team issues of conflict, fear, lack of leadership, and a strong distrust amongst the team, as well as other core issues that blocked team communications, cohesion and synergy.
With this information, a safe – “clear the air and rebuild the team spirit‘ process was facilitated that delivered exceptional results and neutralized animosity, prejudgments, intolerance, frustration, fears and dis-engagement.
This also fostered a new understanding on a very deep personal level of each member and their past, present and future plans and intentions. Participants also enhanced their inner strength/resilience.
Since the teambuilding workshop, there has been a dramatic shift in trust levels, personal awareness, levels of responsibility, resilience, leadership, inter-personal communication and inter cultural tolerance. Team productivity and staff engagement is also improving swiftly.
Life Masters facilitators received exceptionally positive comments from the participants and management for our real teambuilding process, the professional handling of the teambuilding, our flexibility, and our ability to sort out the blockages and issue in a safe, confidential and speedy manner.
